Who are Rise Against?
Rise Against are a melodic hardcore punk band from Chicago, Illinois, U.S.A, formed in 1999. The current lineup consists of vocalist and rhythym guitarist Tim McIlrath, lead guitarist Zach Blair, bassist Joe Principe, and drummer Brandon Barnes. They've released 9 studio albums since their debut record The Unraveling— the one that this listing's theme is based on —circa 2001, and continue to release and tour to this day. Common themes in Rise Against's music include environmentalism, progressivism, political unrest, animal rights, and social commentary. Although truthfully if you're here, you probably already know all this.
